Repurpose An Old Wooden Ladder As A Bookshelf Or Towel Rack

Instead of spending money on a generic-looking IKEA bookshelf or an expensive towel drying rack for the bathroom, DIY Life suggests taking that old wooden ladder that may be taking up space in your garage or basement and giving it new life around your home.

Admittedly, this tip only works if you have an old wooden ladder that’s in any shape to display prominently elsewhere in your home (or that wouldn’t take too much work to dust off and pretty up,) but if you do, giving it new life as a bookshelf or putting it in the bathroom and using it as a drying rack for small towels is a great way to save the money you might spend on something new to do the same job.

DIY Life has some other suggestions for an old wooden rack as well — some of them a with more questionable decorating taste — but considering IKEA actually makes ladder-style bookshelves, this one might be worth doing if you have one already.
