If you don’t quite have these parts laying around, or the time or energy to put everything together, the creators actually made a Kickstarter page for bringing the shoes to market. Unfortunately, although the project was fully funded in October 2010, no product has materialised after a year. They’re aiming for $US150-$200 as the final price, but hey, why wait (or pay) when you can do it now with a pair of old sneakers you’ve saved since the ’80s?
