Hands-Free Water Station Is Perfect For Camping, Backyards

If you’re out camping or the kids have been out back playing in the mud and want an easy way to wash up or dispense water without getting the bottle dirty, this hands-free water station does the trick. Step on the cord, let the water flow, and step off the cord when you want the water to stop. It’s a gravity-operated sink for your campsite.

Admittedly, this setup is only really useful for those situations where you need to wash something without actually touching the container that’s storing the water, like if you want to rinse off your feet without tracking dirt into the house.

The apparatus is essentially a water jug connected to a cord, a vinyl tube positioned above the jug, and a counterweight on the other side of a wooden dowel or stick also above the jug. Tip it over and the water comes rushing out. It’s easy to set up and refillable, so it could make a nice addition to a campsite, especially if you need the equivalent to a sink, or just want a fancy water dispenser.
