Facebook’s New ‘Smart Lists’ Keep You From Having To Cultivate Your Own Friend Lists

We’ve talked about the usefulness of friend lists before, but Facebook’s finally taken the burden off you and is rolling out a new “smart lists” feature, that automatically lets you view the feed of your close friends, people from your work, and more.

Where before, you had to manually add and remove friends to every list you created (a painstaking process, to say the least), you can now just use one of Facebook’s pre-created “smart lists” to fill a lot of those voids. Facebook’ll create lists containing friends that live in the same city, go to the same school, are part of your family, or are just oft-contacted friends so you can view the feeds that are important to you without having to create them. You can also share your posts with different smart lists from the drop-down menu under the share box.

The feature’s rolling out gradually, so if you don’t see it yet, check back throughout the week and you should see it soon. Hit the link to read more.
