Automatically Dim Your Phone’s Brightness In The Morning With Tasker

It happens every morning: you roll over in bed, check your phone, and blind yourself with the screen. This quick Tasker trick will make sure your phone’s on its lowest brightness setting every morning.

We’ve talked about Tasker and all the awesome things it can do before, and this is yet another great profile that’ll save you some pain every day. It’s one of the simplest Tasker setups you can make, and yet it never occured to me that this could solve one of my phone’s biggest annoyances — to start, just set your context to Time, and pick a time in the morning before you wake up. Then, for the Task, just choose Display > Display Brightness and slide the Level all the way down to 0. That’s it. Now, every morning when you check your phone, it won’t hurt quite as much, since it’ll be as dim as possible. Hit the link to see the process step-by-step.
