Use A Painters Canvas For An Affordable, Natural-Looking Bedskirt

For an affordable, rugged bedskirt that won’t tatter when you run the vacuum cleaner under it but also won’t break the bank, try a standard 1.8m by 2.7m cloth painters canvas or drop cloth. If you have a full-size or queen bed, it should fit under the mattress or box-spring easily and drape down over the sides for an attractive look for cheap.

Apartment Therapy notes that even though painters canvases tend to be beige and colourless, they can add a little au naturel look to a bed while hiding storage beneath it for little money and no fuss. Since drop cloths are available at any hardware store, you likely won’t have to go far to find one, and since they’re so affordable, you can avoid having to spend more on one specifically fitted to your bed’s size.

If your sheet set comes with a bedskirt, it may be redundant, but if you don’t have one, this could be cheaper than heading to your local department store for one. What do you think, genius or madness? Share your thoughts in the comments.
