Shift-Click The Apple Menu To Force Close The Active Program

We’ve discussed keyboard shortcuts to force quit or force quit the front-most application in the past, but if you have no desire to memorise a long keyboard command, this simple trick lets you switch between opening the Force Quit menu and force quitting the active app with one key.

If you click the Apple menu at any time, you’ll see the Force Quit option in the menu. If you hold down Shift and click the menu bar, the Force Quit option will be replaced by “Force Quit -App Name in Front-” and you can quickly kill the application. Thanks The-Soup!
