LUMI Mask Combines A Sleep Mask With A Sunlight-Simulating Alarm Clock

I love sleep masks, but the upside that it provides (blocks out light so you can sleep longer) is also the downside (blocks out light so you don’t wake up on time). Technology now has a solution — shove an alarm clock and a light on the inside of the mask.

It’s a bit expensive, at $US80, but the LUMI works by gradually brightening the light unit inside the mask 30 minutes before your wake time. The light is supposed to wake you up naturally, which helps set your daily rhythms to get yourself up without an alarm.

The video shows how it works, but ignore the part about Kickstarter, since it’s already graduated into a real product that’s in stock now. What would be great is if the creator could integrate an MP3 player on board, so you can fall asleep listening to music as well.
