Hold Option In Lion For Snow Leopard-Style Navigation

The three-finger trackpad swipe gesture in Snow Leopard will navigate in Finder and Safari, but Apple has changed the gesture’s default behaviour in Lion to switch between spaces instead. If you want to temporarily restore the Snow Leopard behaviour simply hold the Option key while performing the gesture, or you can change the default behaviour back in the trackpad settings of System Preferences.
