Health Month Turns Healthy Habits Into A Choose-Your-Own-Adventure Game

Health Month is a free web app/game in which you choose health goals (eat X more fruit every day, meditate X times a week, etc) and score points according to your progress. Careful! Lest you be added to the wall of shame.

Well, it’s really the “Wall of Almost-But-Not-Quite Awesome”. If at the end of the month you haven’t run out of points in the game (you start with 10 and lose 1 every time you break your health rules), your name will be added to the “Wall of Awesomeness”. That may be plenty motivating for you to achieve your health (physical and mental) goals for the month. You can also optionally set a reward or punishment for each month’s “game”.

Let’s face it: Doing every single healthy thing you should do every day or breaking a bad habit isn’t always easy. Health Month at least makes it fun.
