iOS: Forecast is an app that allows you to share your future plans with friends. Create an event, and every one of your Foursquare friends also using Forecast will receive an immediate push notification of your plans so they may join in.For those who attend many gatherings in an evening, you can forecast multiple events in the same timeframe, checking in via Forecast when you actually arrive. Currently Forecast is iOS only but an Android version is in beta.
After my initial trial of Forecast on a friend’s iPhone, I’ll definitely use the Android version when it’s available. It will be ideal for meeting up with friends at large events, such as my annual trip to Dragon*Con.
