Facebook Fire Safety Audit Puts Your Face On An Actual Statue

Winter is nearly over it, and before you know it fire season will be upon us. Fire and Rescue NSW has designed a 21-question safety audit running on Facebook to assess your individual risk and encourage people to make sure they’ve eliminated unnecessary problem areas around their home, and is rewarding participants by displaying their digital photo on an actual statue in the Sydney CBD.

Ensuring your house is safe in the event of fire should be reward enough in itself (I lost marks for not having a fire safety plan and not testing smoke alarms often enough.) The statue promotion, which lets you upload a photo or take one with your webcam, is a neat trick to get extra participation, and lets you know when your photo will be displayed.
