We’ve seen Windows Phone 7 desktops before, which is stylistically similar to what Microsoft has us expecting in Windows 8, but when it’s done this well it’s worth repeating. Reader The Royal Rebel took Windows 7 and made it to look like Windows 8 with a few stylistic touches of his own.

  • I’ve found some tools to make it easier to install all this.

    Orb: Download Windows 7 Start Orb Changer from Door2Windows to change your start menu button.

    Rainmeter Themes: All you have to do is to double click on the files to install them (you need Rainmeter of course) and then add them by right clicking and going to configs and clicking the theme.
