Mac OS X Lion Is Available Now

Mac: Apple launched Mac OS 10.7 Lion this morning. The new version of OS X is available for download in the Mac App Store for users with OS 10.6.8 or higher and retails for $31.99.Lion requires an Intel Mac with a Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5 or Core i7 processor, and at least 2GB RAM and a 4GB hard drive to even install. Mac users with 10.5 (Leopard) will need to upgrade first to 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and patch up before upgrading again to Lion.

Users with slow or no internet connection can visit a local Apple Store to download the update from the Mac App Store in-store, or order Mac OS X Lion on a USB drive directly from Apple later in August for $75, according to Apple’s press release.
