Lebara Dumps Calls To Mobiles From Its 0 Cents Per Minute Plan

Back in March, we told you about Lebara’s prepaid plan which offered 0 cent per minute calls to any number in China, India, Malaysia and Thailand. Reader Asher wrote in to tell us that the deal is not so sweet anymore, with the rate for mobile calls to all of those countries going up to 2 cents per minute.

Sure, 2 cents a minute isn’t expensive and landline calls to those countries still get the 0 cent offer, but it is a substantially different deal to being able to make calls to any number without worrying about their length. If nothing else, it serves as a reminder to keep an eye on your provider’s rates: while you should get a notification email for a change of this kind, many people routinely ignore those kinds of messages. Thanks Asher!
