Add A CD Changer To Your Xbox 360 For Truly Lazy Gaming

Playing Xbox is fun, but getting up to change the game is just so much darn work. DIYer Ben Heck shows us how to couple an Xbox with a CD changer so you never nave to get off the couch again.

Sadly, not all Xboxes support saving games on your hard drive, so Heck decided to go down the old fashioned path and hook up a Sony CD changer to the Xbox’s disc drive. Electronically, the project isn’t too difficult, especially if you’ve worked with an Arduino before, but mechanically, it’s difficult. Getting everything to fit together takes a bit of work, and the final product isn’t the prettiest, but it works: the CD changer holds up to 100 games, and you can switch between them with the flick of a switch. Check out the video above to see the full mod.
