Wire Baskets And Postcards: Making White Walls Work

It’s much easier to get creative with workspaces when you can paint the walls and make significant changes, but many of us rent and don’t have that option. That’s the case with our featured workspace, by Flickr member Jen Collins, who makes good use of the white walls and compact space.

Jen gets the job done with a couple of wire baskets—one mounted on the wall—and a nice collection of postcards. It just goes to show how little it can take to make a space look nice, so don’t be discouraged if you feel limited by your lease.

If you’re in a similar situation and want a cool workspace nonetheless, check out our guide to customising your apartment without pissing off your landlord and what you are entitled to change.
