Picturen Lite Is An Efficient Image Gallery For Android

Android: Picturen Lite is a new, free image viewer that ditches the visual playfulness of “stacks” and 3D walls for a more functional grid-view and list of albums. It’s got the basic look of the iPhone’s image gallery, but it’s still got all the usual Android functionality, like system-wide sharing for individual photos and entire albums.

Additional features that put it over the top include detailed image data for every photo, and built-in privacy settings that allow users to hide entire albums with password protection.

There are also three themes to choose from, all included in the app itself. Image uploading to social services like Flickr is slowly being meshed in as well, but Picasa is the currently the only one that’s available. The app is still brand new, and more services seem to be slated for the (very) near future. Other standard functions like image rotation, cropping and wallpapering are all in full effect.
