DIY IKEA See-Through Shoe Storage

Storing shoes in boxes keeps them in good condition, but it’s hard to see where an individual pair is stored in a sealed box. If you don’t want expensive custom storage, a simple tweak to existing storage boxes can do the trick.

At IKEA Hackers, Juditu details how to add see-through panels to standard storage boxes using PET plastic to create an easy-to-see-into storage solution for shoes. The hack uses $9.99 Knata boxes, but any similarly-sized box would do. IKEA sells its own Skubb storage boxes for shoes , but this is definitely a more flexible alternative and lets you see the footwear more clearly.
