Bypass The ‘Touch The Android To Begin’ Screen With A Few Taps

If you flash a lot of custom ROMs (or just buy a lot of new phones), you’re probably familiar with the “touch the Android to begin” screen. If you’d like to bypass the initial setup of Android, you can do so with just a few taps.

While the initial setup runs you through some good settings, you probably don’t need to go through it every time you flash a new ROM on your phone. Maybe you just want to see what that ROM feels like, or you’re doing some troubleshooting on your phone. In those cases, you don’t need to log into Gmail and set your location preferences every time. Luckily, you can bypass the initial setup just by tapping on the four corners of the screen in a clockwise motion. It should exit the process and take you right to the home screen, no questions asked. Check out the video to see it in action.

It’s not a shortcut every Android user will necessarily need, but it’s one that’s really hard to find and not well documented, so it’s pretty cool for those of us that are sick of seeing that screen every time we wipe the slate clean.
