Windows only: When your computer crashes, you can send a report to Microsoft, but that doesn't help you very much. Soluto collects crash reports and their solutions from other users, so when a program crashes you can get it fixed right away.
Soluto has long been an awesome tool to speed up your system boot, but they've just released a huge update that also speeds up your browser and crowdsources crash reports to help you fix them.
Soluto's boot feature hasn't changed a lot, and the browser feature is pretty similar. It analyses the add-ons you have installed and tells you which ones are important and which ones aren't so you can speed up your browser performance. It'll also let you know if something like Ask has hijacked your search engine, and let you change it back to Google, Yahoo or Bing with just a click of your mouse.
The crash reporter is undoubtedly the coolest feature in this update, though. Soluto replaces Windows' crash reporter with its own, that immediately logs a program crash when it happens and lets you open up Soluto to find a fix. Other Soluto users that experience this crash can submit fixes, too, so if you know how to fix a crash you're having, you can send it to Soluto so other users can benefit. Since Soluto is pretty popular, the crowdsourcing can be quite effective, and is definitely better than the less-than-helpful Windows crash reporter.
Soluto is a free download for Windows only. Check out the video above to see more, or hit the link below to try it out. Note: While Soluto's home page hasn't updated to contain the new functions, the installer on their download page should be the newest version with these features.
