REMIX Brings The Future Of The Web To Sydney

If you build web sites and apps, you need to be at Microsoft’s REMIX conference in Sydney in early June. Amongst the topics you can master? Windows Azure.

One of the many presentations taking place at REMIX is on “Ten (ish) things you didn’t know you could do with the Windows Azure Platform”. The presenter, Steven Nagy, is a Windows Azure MVP and a Senior Consultant with Readify. Here’s the official brief on his session:

The Windows Azure platform offers more than just the scale out PaaS features you are familiar with. In this session we’ll explore some of the less well known features of the platform and new ways to leverage existing features to build highly scalable applications in the cloud and hybrid scenarios.

Eagle-eyed readers will also recall that consulting time with Steven is part of the prize in our awesome My Concept Rules competition to build an app based on Windows Azure technology.

Other sessions at REMIX will cover Silverlight, HTML5, CSS3, Windows Phone 7 and WebMatrix. Whatever your role in building sites, there’ll be something new to learn.

REMIX runs at the Seymour Centre in Sydney on June 1 and 2; there’s a preliminary keynote and party to kick things off on June 1, and then a full day of sessions on Day 2. Right now, there’s an early bird special of $210 which is available online. (The full price is $310; REMIX has sold out for the last four years, so get in quick.)

The other way to get there? If you’re one of the four finalists in our My Concept Rules competition, you’ll get free tickets to REMIX (which is where you’ll pitch your idea to our judging panel).
