Hide Ugly Speakers In Hollowed-Out Books

If you have an area of your house that doesn’t lend itself to big, ugly speakers (or a big, ugly iPod dock), DIYer Steve shows us how he turned a few hollowed-out books into a small, camouflaged stereo.

You can hide all sorts of things in hollowed-out books, but instead of hiding his valuables or other private items, Steve opted to make his workshop a little prettier by hiding his ugly RadioShack speakers. All it requires is a craft knife, a little elbow grease, and some extra audio equipment to turn some old, dusty books into a secret speaker cabinet. Steve says the sound quality is pretty decent, too, and while it won’t rival your nice computer or home theatre speakers, it’ll probably give your other iPod dock a run for its money.
