Gtrot is a clever web app that works directly with Facebook to make your holidays better by adding a social component. It’ll help you connect with friends who’ve visited places you’ve been before — even if they’re not members of Gtrot — and helps you share your own trips you can easily let specific people (or everyone) know about your travel plans.
When you add a trip to Gtrot, it’ll find friends who live in the area that you can notify and/or contact for advice on your visit. If a friend is also using Gtrot, you’ll be able to find out if they’ve travelled to your upcoming destination and ask for advice as well. Gtrot also lets you add the places you’ve been so you can keep track of your travels and be a resource to others who have travel plans to your previous destinations.
