Firefox: Facebook Status Counter is a free add-on that displays a character-counter below the Facebook status box, letting you know how much more you can write before getting cut off.
It’s a little-known fact that the maximum length of Facebook status updates is 420 characters, and while it’s not too often that somebody writes more than that, it does happen. This add-on helps fix that problem, and it doesn’t even clutter up the already messy layout of Facebook to do it.
