Free Chrome and Firefox extension CloudMagic now indexes content from Gmail, Google Docs and Google Contacts for offline searching within the browser.After adding your Google account login credentials (stored locally), CloudMagic will immediately begin to index your account data. Once finished, it’s able to provide search results for past emails, docs and contacts for that account even when there’s no internet connection available.

CloudMagic is a browser extension that allows users to quickly search their online Google accounts directly from Chrome’s Omnibar or Firefox’s AwesomeBar.
