uTorrent 3.0 Adds Media Streaming, Ratings, Comments

Windows only: uTorrent released the long-awaited beta of version 3.0 today, which lets you watch media as you download, as well as rate and comment on torrents so other uTorrent users can find the highest-quality downloads around.

uTorrent 3.0 adds a whole host of awesome stuff to our favourite Windows BitTorrent client. They’re all extremely easy to use, too — from the main window, just hit the “Play” button to start streaming a video you’re downloading. or click on it and hit the “Ratings” tab to give it a rating and comment on the torrent’s quality. It’s also added the newest version of their super-simple remote access functionality to the app, so you can control your downloads from any computer or mobile phone.

Apart from that, the new version boasts an overhauled interface that’s much simpler to use, especially for beginners. It also includes some beginner-oriented “getting started” guides, as well as the ability to drag and drop files right into the bottom-left corner of uTorrent’s window to create your own torrent and get a link to send to your friends, so they can immediately start downloading it. Hit the link to check out all the changes in the new beta.

uTorrent is a free download for Windows only.
