iOS: TipToe is a handy search app for iOS that searches privately, quickly, and lets you browse results directly from the app. As an added bonus, it removes sponsored results from your searches.
At first I was a little sceptical about TipToe, as most of the search tools I’ve used don’t really save all that much time or do anything for you. TipToe actually does solve a bunch of problems with search — especially on a mobile device. First, your results are not tracked when you use it. Second, it removes sponsored results so, in theory, you only get the most relevant stuff.
What really makes the difference, however, is the speed. Searches are especially fast because you’re just getting results and nothing else. If you want to view a result, a minimal (but still very functional) browser pops up to load the web page. While you might want a more feature-rich browser for your primary browsing needs, if you’re looking for quick information TipToe is really great.
