Lifehacker is already a friendly online community, and we figure it’s time for it to become a friendly offline community as well. Thanks to Microsoft and Windows Azure, we’re hosting trivia nights in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane in May — a great chance to catch up with fellow readers, show off your geek knowledge and maybe win a prize.

At each event, we’ll be offering food and drink, and running a trivia quiz (you can form your own team of five, or we’ll arrange teams on the night). It’s a great opportunity to meet the Lifehacker crew and your fellow readers (as well as readers of our sibling title Gizmodo). It’s also a chance to talk up potential ideas for our awesome My Concept Rules contest with fellow enthusiasts. We’ll be in Sydney on Tuesday May 3, Brisbane on Wednesday May 4, and Melbourne on Thursday May 5.
To sign up for the event, hit the link below, register for Meetup and then RSVP to the event of your choice. Numbers are limited due to venue sizes, so get in quick. (We’ll look at doing meetups in other cities in the future, and bear in mind you can also use the Meetup site to register and find other readers where you live to organise your own informal events.) And thanks to Microsoft and Windows Azure for helping us make it happen!
