Keep Evernote Notes At The Top Of The List

If you have a few notes you always want quick access to, tech weblog CyberNet News has a handy trick for “pinning” them to the top of your list in Evernote: just change their date to sometime in the future.

If you use Evernote on the iPhone, you may like its feature that lets you “favourite” notes and quickly access those later on. Sadly, the desktop clients do not have this feature. However, CyberNet News discovers that you can just change the “Date Created” on any note to a day in the future, and that note will always stay at the top of your list for easy access. Whenever you create a new note, it will just show up under it.

To do this, just head into the note you want to “sticky” and manually change the Created date. If you don’t see a box for it, go to View > Show Note Info, and it should pop up. Just change the Created date to some time in the far future, and you’ll always have quick access to it from any list its in.
