How To Get Books Into Your iPhone Or iPad Without Using iTunes

Did you know that now you can get books into your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch without having to download them first in your computer and synchronising? It’s very easy. Just follow these steps:1. Go to any site that publishes ePub-format books. Here’s a very good source: ePubBooks.

2. Click on the book you want. Let’s say Ligeia.

3. Now click on the Download ePub button. Or just click here!

4. Your iOS device would ask if you want to download it to your iBooks app. Just say yes and enjoy your new book.

This works everywhere, in any application. If someone sends you a book through email or Dropbox, you just have to click on it and be done without having to do any stupid USB synchronisation (which I hope will become completely superfluous in iOS 5.0). [9to5mac]

  • You can download books directly in iBooks on your iPhone without having to connect to your computer. Just go to the Store from the Library section of iBooks, search for the book you want to get and select it. With the book description opened just hit the button with the price on it and it turns into GET BOOK and just press away. I’ve done this from the comfort of my bed on many a sleepless night with no USB connection in sight.
