Android: Note-taking and universal capture app Evernote has released an update for its popular Android client, and it’s a big one: they’ve improved a ton of features like searching and notebook organisation, as well as added a bunch of sharing features.Evernote now allows you to share and collaborate on notebooks with other users right from their Android, just by long-pressing a notebook and hitting “sync”. You can also share items to Facebook, Gmail, SMS and other apps simply.
They’ve also improved their search feature, letting you search from within a notebook you’re viewing instead of always searching your entire database at once. You can also create new notes from Android, browse through your notebooks, and use the tag hierarchies you’ve become so comfortable with on the desktop.
Among these big updates, Evernote’s also added location support, a new widget, and a PIN lock feature for premium users. All in all, if you love Evernote on the desktop but were unhappy with its Android iteration, this should bring it up to par with the features of the desktop app. Check out the video above to see all the new features in action, or hit the link below to read more.
