Wikipedia Beautifier Makes Online Encyclopaedia More Readable

Chrome: The Wikipedia Beautifier extension cleans the cruft from Wikipedia to offer an easy-on-the-eyes reading experience on the popular online encyclopedia.Inspired by Readability, Wikipedia Beautifier makes the page more readable with some font and layout changes:

  • Swaps out the content fonts to nice, big, serif fonts
  • Fades out the navigation bars to the top and left when not in use
  • Justifies text and adds automatic hyphenation
  • Makes a handful of margin adjustments to make things line up in more presentable ways

It would be silly to install extensions to improve the readability of every site you visit, but many of us use Wikipedia a lot, and the Wikipedia Beautifier really does deliver a nice improvement.

My (11 y.o.) daughter uses Wikipedia quite a bit, so I'll be installing this on her netbook when I get home this arvo. Thanks, LH!

I think Beautipedia Modified, Chromified (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/oolicfpkpnpbaonkibdjkpbchakfdmig) is more elegant. The offset table is just really off putting on Wikipedia Beautifier in my opinion.

      Even betterer. Thanks, W!
