What To Do If Windows 7 SP1 Fails To Install

If the recently released Windows 7 SP1 fails to fall into place, don’t hit Windows Update again. Instead, run a CheckDisk, a System File Checker, and then an Update Readiness Tool, as explained by Tech Recipes.

  • I had this problem initially, so onto google I went, apparently it was rather a common problem in vista also, my problem was solved by the update readiness tool, while I shouldn’t have needed to use it in the first place, I did and SP1 has been working beautifully since. My consolations to those who can’t get it to work.
