Twitter For iOS Update Keeps Up With The Trends

Twitter for iPhone and iPad just got a major update that’s not just about bug fixes; the app’s compose screen has gotten an overhaul to make it cleaner, and easier to upload photos and video. But the most interesting enhancement looks to be the Quick Bar (iPhone-only), which sits on top of your timeline and lets you cycle through trends, either across Twitter or in your specific location.

Other tidbits: a DM view that looks more like an SMS exchange, autocompletion of @usernames and hashtags, and the ability to find people to follow through your phone’s contact list. All welcome improvements! Go get yours here. [iTunes via MacStories]
