Instapaper Updates To 3.0 With Easier Article Sharing And Discovery

iOS/web: Instapaper has gone through a pretty major update, making article sharing with other Instapaper users easier, adding other social networks to which you can share, and incorporating a new “editor’s picks” section where you can find other great articles.Instapaper has always had a form of article sharing, though it wasn’t obvious to new users. “Stars” are now “Likes”, and you can easily add your friends on Instapaper and browse their liked articles. It’s a great way to stay up on what you’re friends are reading, as well as discover articles you may not have found or chosen to read yourself. You can also share articles directly to Facebook, Twitter, Evernote and other services, even if you’re offline — Instapaper will automatically send them when you reconnect.

They’ve also rewritten the built-in web browser, so you can browse the web right from the Instapaper app and save articles to read later. That way, you don’t need the bookmarklet cluttering up your Safari bar if you don’t want it to. There’s also an Editors browser, which is another place to discover great articles you may have missed by seeing recommendations from other people.
