Honestly Now Solicits Discrete Advice From Your Friends

Jean jackets, dynamic hair changes, the iPad 2 — sometimes it’s a good idea to get a friends’ advice before taking the plunge. Web/mobile app Honestly Now lets you get that advice without names attached for more candid response, as well as soliciting experts and anonymous others, if you’d like.

You supposedly need an invite from a friend to join Honestly Now, but you can also get one from the founder. Once you’re in, you will want to solicit friends to join, especially those friends with pronounced tastes. You then post a question, attach a picture, and decide who it’s going out to: friends, who can respond without their names attached, users with a particular expertise, or the teeming crowds. As you can imagine, you’d want to use some discretion in what you post, even if only to friends, but under the right circumstances it could be a refreshingly helpful Q&A site.

Honestly Now is free to use on the web or through its iOS app.
