Today’s featured workspace is one reader’s adventure in experimenting with a standing desk, as inexpensively as possible, by raising it up with cheap bed risers.

Lifehacker reader Keye wanted to try out a standing desk but in such a way that he could easily convert it back if he didn’t like it. His solution was to put risers intended to raise up a bed for extra storage space under his desk to raise it up. On top of that he used a lap desk to raise his monitor up to a more comfortable level and some zip ties to tidy all the cables out of sight.
