iOS: Springpad is a great note-taking solution, but hasn’t quite caught up feature-wise with more mature alternatives like Evernote. Today, Springpad added a few user-requested features to its iOS apps, including voice memos and the ability to log in using other services.
Definitely the coolest part of this update is the voice memo option, which lets you record a short note using your phone’s microphone with the touch of a button. These notes will also be synced to the web, so you can listen to them away from your phone. You can also log in using other services like Gmail, Facebook and Twitter, which is handy if you don’t want to remember yet another online account.
Also included in the update is sharing to Facebook and Twitter, notebook rearranging and a few bug fixes. What’s great is that this entire update was user request-driven, showing once again that Springpad is really listening to its users — something not all web services can necessarily say. The update is for iOS devices only, though we hope that the new features will be on their way to Android soon.
Springpad is a free download for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.
