Dim Your Alarm Clock’s Display With Binder Dividers

It doesn’t seem like that much light, but for some light sleepers, the alarm clock’s glow is just too much. Tame the torch with a set of binder dividers, scissors and tape.

Curbly writer Chrisjob writes of a familiar affliction: when he’s finally able to get his mind right for sleeping, even the slightest light or distraction can throw him off. He sought out an adjustable brightness alarm clock for that very reason, but even at its lowest setting, the display’s glow, and its reflection, can be just too much. So he measured the display, cut up the most appropriate of a set of multi-colour binder dividers, and shielded his room, and his eyes, from the LED light. Cheap, clever and oh-so-helpful in the right moment.
