Vodafone Selling White Galaxy S From This Wednesday

We've always thought that what was running on a phone mattered more than its colour, but if you've been holding off buying a Samsung Galaxy S because of the colour, the wait could be over. From January 12, Vodafone will have a local exclusive on the white version of the Galaxy S.

That exclusive deal runs for eight weeks, so you'll have to wait a couple of months if you'd rather go with another carrier for your snow-blinding model. Samsung says it has sold 10 million of the Galaxy S so far, which proves yet again a lot of people like Android. More to the point for new buyers of whatever hue, it now runs Froyo.

...Or, alternatively, you could just get a normal Galaxy S and then buy one of these on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/White-Back-Cover-Battery-Door-F-Samsung-Galaxy-S-i9000-/250725414963?pt=AU_MobilePhoneAccessories&hash=item3a60663833

Why would anyone want to go with Vodafone anyway? Looks like their network isn't anywhere close to being up to scratch yet. :O

I am sure I have a list somewhere of those who chose to go with Vodafone, just need to work out how to sort by Samsung Galaxy and I'll email them your eBay ad! ;-)

That back cover is a cheap imitation. Here's the original one which includes buttons. Cost me $49 though including shipping

White's cool and all but I ended up buying a custom skin for my galaxy so it's not that big of a deal

When dual-core is on the way, why are they releasing a new Galaxy S model?

good phone, bad network, bad security.

ill stay with Telstra thanks :)
