To start up Evernote with the debug menu, first quit Evernote completely, and then hit the Start button. Type evernote /debug in the Run box and hit Enter. Now, you should see a new menu at the top of the window called [Debug] . From there, you'll want to click on Optimise Database. This process will take a while, but should make your Evernote installation run a bit faster and perform searches a bit easier.
