sharkZapper Controls Grooveshark From Chrome’s Navigation Bar

Chrome: Music streaming services like Grooveshark are awesome, but having to control your music through a browser tab is annoying, and can intrude on your work. Simple extension sharkZapper lets you control Grooveshark right from Chrome’s navigation bar.

The new HTML5-based Grooveshark player is pretty great, but still suffers from the fact that you have to run it inside your browser, taking up an extra tab and pulling your focus away from your other work in the same browser. sharkZapper makes controlling it a bit more convenient, so you can go ahead and minimise the tab and keep it out of the way. By clicking on the sharkZapper icon, you can pause, skip, favourite, and even search for songs right from a little dropdown window. You can also add a song to your library or tweak settings, all without having to search out your Grooveshark tab and open it up.

sharkZapper is a free download, works wherever Google Chrome does.
