DIY Touch Screen Jukebox Puts A Modern Twist On Old School Tunes

If you’d like to capture the old fashioned experience of moseying up to the jukebox but still have access to your digital tunes, this DIY jukebox combines a touch screen, speaker cabinet and computer to recreate the vibe.

While it’s not quite the same as popping in coiÑs and mashing analogue buttons while you wait for your milk shake in the diners of yesterday, Hack a Day user Elementix’s homemade jukebox is a neat twist on an old method of music delivery.

He combined an touch screen he scored off eBay with speakers, a donated Pentium 4 computer, a spare hard drive, and an old kitchen cabinet to create a touch-driven jukebox. Walk up, swipe the screen, and pick your tunes.
