Change Up Your Desktop With This Week’s Wallpapers

This week in wallpapers, we take your dog to the moon, go kayaking with a predatory chipmunk, and circle around in an endless command loop. Come on in and get a new look for your desktop.

Lighty

This desktop is sort of like a Rorschach test, in that you can see it more than one way. For you optimists, it’s your idea lightbulb shining brightly. For you pessimists, it’s a dark torture chamber with minimal lighting. For you stereotypical geeks who still live with mum, well, it’s a picture of the ceiling. Add it to your desktop and assign your own weird meaning.

Road to Forever

For the Mac users in the audience, you should recognise this roadway as the command symbol on your keyboard. While I don’t know the reason why this is the command symbol on the Mac, it looks nice as a symbol and as an element on your desktop. Like all wallpapers posted to SimpleDesktops, it’s simple, fun and distraction-free, but uniquely perfect for the Mac and roadway enthusiast.

Predatory Hipmunk

The folks over at Hipmunk, a great travel search tool, had Shaun Sanders alter an original photograph of a shark approaching a kayaker to bring the Hipmunk chipmunk into the water. If you want a little humour with a nice horizon, this is a fun wallpaper to download.

Strange Forecast

Before I knew where to find wallpaper I liked online, I decided to make one of my own. Strange Forecast was the result. With the heavy rainstorms frequenting Los Angeles lately, I felt like it was a timely choice for this week’s wallpaper pack.

Space Doggy

David Lanham creates a lot of great, unique art that you can use for your desktop wallpaper. Space Doggy is one of my favourites because it’s fun without being too busy or distracting while you work.
