Buy Australian Finds Locally Produced Items, Slowly

Campaigns to encourage the purchase of Australian-made goods always get a boost around this time of year as Australia Day looms. Buy Australian lets you search for Australian-produced items in a large range of categories.

Nick over at Gizmodo checked the app out, and didn’t come away too impressed: performance is slow and the search results aren’t very specific. It’s also worth bearing in mind that the “Australian made” label is often deployed in a fairly loose way, so check the details if that’s a major factor in your buying decisions.

Buy Australian is a free app for iOS devices.
