If you're looking for a one-of-a-kind desk surface it's tough to beat the stylishness of a desktop made from rough-cut burled wood. Today's featured workspace sports an uncut edge with a well-sanded surface for organic and functional eye candy.
Lifehacker reader Teermac has a unique desk. The desk surface as well as the desk back are both cut from the same piece of burled maple. There is a gap between the back and the surface for cord management — under the desk is a web of bungee cords that hold the peripheral and power cables up and out of sight. One of the more novel aspects of cable management the desk affords is seen with the charging cable for the iPhone and the cord for the card reader — both are routed through a natural imperfection in the desk.
