Although the process of transferring media has evolved a thousand fold since the early days of the internet the process of transferring money hasn't kept pace. Dwolla seeks to make it dead simple to send money across social networks and the web.
Dwolla makes it dead simple to send money to people via Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites. With the current model the sender pays a $US0.25 transfer fee (which can be absorbed by the receiver, if they agree to it), or no fee at all if the payment is recurring (such as a rent or utility payment to your roommate). Dwolla has a web interface (you can check out their "hub" management page in the video above), an Android app, and an iOS app.
Dwolla is a free service with micro-fees for one-time transfers. For a closer look at all aspects of the service check out their extensive video tutorial guide collection here.
