If you don't feel like taking apart your mobile phone or camera to add your own macro lens, a reader over at DIY blog Make found out that taping a lens from a pair of reading glasses over your camera works pretty well.
The simplicity of the hack really makes you question its quality, but it surprisingly does improve the macro abilities of the camera. It's obviously not as good as a more involved solution, but if you are having trouble focusing on something with your cheap camera or mobile phone camera, taping a glasses lens over the camera lens can work quite well. It's hard to argue with those results! Just a 50 cent pair of reading glasses and a little Scotch tape go a long way. Hit the link to read more.
