Chrome: If the thumbnails for your favourite sites on Chrome's "Most Visited" landing page are stuck displaying yesterday's news, deleting Chrome's thumbnail cache will force them to refresh.

To fix your thumbnails, exit Chrome and then open your Chrome User Data folder. On a Windows PC, enter the following in the address bar in Explorer or in the Run command to open it:
On a Mac, browse to /users/[username] /library/application support/google/chrome/default, or enter the following in Terminal:
And in Ubuntu, you should find it at:
In this folder, scroll down to the Thumbnails file, and delete it.
When I tested the tip on my machine I was surprised to see that the thumbnail was well over 100MB in size — Chrome apparently keeps thumbnails for sites that may become your new frequently visited not just those currently in the 8-grid rotation. After you delete the thumbnails Chrome will replace them with fresh screenshots on your next visit to your favourite sites.
